A Peek Into Our Room

Students are greeted by personalized frogs when they enter the classroom.

  

Circle Time includes calendar, countdown to the 100th day of school chart, weather wheel, alphabet friend of the week puppet, and letter of the week song chart.

 

The pointer we use during Circle Time changes each month. Below are Smiley, Pumpkin, Snowy, Toothy, Shammy, Hoppy, Daisy, and Ladybug.

 

  Students enter a tropical rainforest when they go to the Library Center. Pillows in a pool provide a comfy place to read.

 

I painted a frog on a lilypad to go along with the frog classroom theme.

 

The Math Center (left) contains counters, pattern blocks, pattern beads, unifex cubes, math games, a clock, and play money. The Science Center (right) contains discovery bottles, color paddles, a kaleidoscope, magnets, science books, and seasonal items.

 

The Writing Center contains two types of lined paper, pencils, color pencils, stencils, chalkboards, erasers, and color chalk for students to write with.

       

  The Fine Motor Center includes wooden puzzles, 

    floor puzzles, pegboards and pegs, links, a marble

   game, K'Nex, lacing beads, and lacing cards.

 

 

The Block Center contains wood blocks, legos, cars, trucks, a road mat, toy garage, dinosaurs, and animals. I cover shape patterns with contact paper and put them on the shelves so the children know where to put each type of shape block.

 

 

          

            Housekeeping Center contains a play fridge,

         stove and sink, table and chairs, crib, play  

         phone,multicultural dolls, food, utensils, 

         dress up box,and mirror.

        

 

          

            Dramatic Play contains a dollhouse, schoolhouse, dolls, and puppet theater.

 

 

    

 

The Computer Center contains educational games such as Reader Rabbit, Dr. Seuss Kindergarten, and Kidpix.

 

 

The Art Center contains art supplies such as drawing paper, glue bottles, glue sticks, big and thin markers, crayons, smocks, watercolor paint, and brushes.

 

 

"Popcorn Words" are words that often pop up when we are reading.
