TRAVELING BAGS

Throughout the year, students have the opportunity to take home traveling bags for the weekend. The bags reinforce skills learned in class and promote family involvement. Some of the traveling bags I use are:

File Folder Games Bag

The File Folder Games Bag contains math and phonics file folder games. I laminate the folders and use Velcro to attach the pieces. I put memory games inside ziplock bags, which I staple to the folders. Directions for the games are found on the front of each folder. Some of my games I downloaded from www.preschoolprintables.com and www.kidzclub.com.

Class Books Bag

The Class Books Bag contains laminated class books we have made throughout the year.

Below are excerpts from one of our class bookbag books, "Dino-mite Dnosaurs".

Honey Bear and his Journal

Honey Bear is our class mascot. Each Friday, a student takes him home in his bear house, which I got from Build-a-Bear. He also has a suitcase (makeup case) containing a jacket, scarf, sweatpants, sunglasses, and his own teddybear named Cuddley. At the end of the weekend, the student writes and draws pictures about his/her adventures with Honey Bear. Many families include digital photos as well. The student shares his/her journal entry Monday morning during Circle Time.
